Inline Water-Based PCBA Cleaning Machine | DEZ-C1520

The DEZ-C1520 is an inline water-based PCBA cleaning machine for continuous cleaning after reflow, wave or selective soldering. PCBAs pass through chemical pre-washing, circulating spray washing, staged DI-water rinsing, air-knife separation and three-stage air drying.

The machine processes PCBAs up to 500 mm wide, 400 mm long and 80 mm high, with a maximum product weight of 10 kg. Conveyor speed is adjustable from 10 to 1500 mm/min to match the board structure, contamination level and required cleaning time.

Continuous PCBA Cleaning After Soldering

The DEZ-C1520 integrates washing, rinsing and drying into one continuous conveyor process. It is designed for production where PCBAs must be cleaned without loading and unloading separate batch chambers.

Upper and lower spray systems direct the cleaning liquid and DI water towards both sides of the assembly. The actual cleaning result depends on flux chemistry, component layout, spray access and the cleanliness requirement established for the product.

The machine can be positioned after reflow, wave or selective soldering and before cleanliness testing, conformal coating, inspection or final assembly.

Problems Solved by the PCBA Cleaning Machine DEZ-C1520

Flux and Ionic Contamination After Soldering

Compatible cleaning chemistry loosens flux and other process residue from the PCBA. The following DI-water stages remove dissolved contamination and remaining cleaning agent before drying.

Cleaning-Agent Carryover

Air-knife isolation between the chemical washing and DI-water rinsing sections removes liquid carried on the assembly. Collected cleaning liquid returns to the chemical tank, reducing contamination of the rinse section and unnecessary chemical loss.

Incomplete Rinsing

The C1520 combines DI-water pre-rinsing, circulating rinsing and a final rinse. Separate spray-pressure control for the upper and lower nozzles allows the process to be adjusted for different PCBA structures.

Residual Moisture Before Coating or Testing

One cold-air stage and two hot-air stages remove surface water after rinsing. Adjustable upper and lower air knives direct airflow towards the PCBA while circulating air is reused within the drying section.

Interrupted Batch Production

PCBAs move continuously through the complete process on the conveyor. This avoids repeated basket loading and unloading when the same or similar assemblies are produced continuously.

PCBA Infeed → Chemical Pre-Wash → Circulating Chemical Wash → Air-Knife Isolation → DI-Water Pre-Rinse → Circulating DI-Water Rinse → Final DI-Water Rinse → Cold-Air Stripping → Two-Stage Hot-Air Drying → PCBA Outfeed
The chemical section uses heated upper and lower spray systems to clean the assembly. Air-knife isolation then limits chemical carryover into the rinse section.
The PCBA passes through staged DI-water rinsing before entering the drying section. Conveyor speed, liquid temperature, spray pressure and operating alarms are managed through the PLC and touchscreen.

DEZ-C1520 Washing, Rinsing and Drying Systems

Chemical Pre-Wash and Circulating Wash
The chemical section includes upper and lower spray systems with independently adjustable pressure. A 7.5 kW stainless-steel pump supplies the circulating wash, while the cleaning-liquid temperature can be set between 25 and 75°C.
Air-Knife Isolation and Chemical Recovery
Two upper air knives and one lower air knife remove cleaning liquid before the PCBA enters the rinse section. Their height and angle can be adjusted according to the product profile.
Staged DI-Water Rinsing
The rinsing process includes a pre-rinse, a circulating DI-water rinse and a final rinse. The circulating rinse uses a 5.5 kW stainless-steel pump with independent upper and lower pressure regulation.
Three-Stage Air Drying
The drying section combines cold-air stripping with two heated-air stages. Adjustable upper and lower air knives remove water from both sides of the assembly.
Stainless-Steel Conveyor System
A 600 mm stainless-steel mesh belt or chain conveyor carries products through the cleaning process. Conveyor speed is continuously adjustable between 10 and 1500 mm/min.
Filtration, Piping and Maintenance
The circulation system uses two-stage filtration. The primary pull-out filter captures larger particles, while the secondary filtration specification is 100 μm.
